Through many interactions and last minute changes on my part, our needs were met without question. This remarkable suite at the front of the upper deck features a window wall with 180° view allowing unobstructed views of the river as you navigate, and a balcony where you can unwind. The bathroom has a jacuzzi-style bathtub for you to soak in, and the spacious sitting area features a minifridge and sofa. The suites can each accommodate a maximum of three guests (interior sofas can be combined to form a bed), with a maximum cap of 44 guests on board the vessel. The Zafiro travels with three auxiliary boats, two of which hold up to 25 passengers and the other of which has a capacity of 15. After one meal, the staff knew exactly our thoughts and choices for drinks, appetizers, and dishes. The leaders and guides on the Delfin I exuded intelligence, constantly piqued our interest, and worked tirelessly to make our trip perfect.
Some ships will supply them, but check before you go. The chef was exceptional at providing food that reflected the local cultures, yet catering to American (or Australian in some cases) tastes. Every meal was fun and something of an adventure. I learned a lot and I think the others did, too.
The drivers/guides appeared as promised with absolutely no concerns on our part. All involved were informative and professional. This certainly made our trip much more pleasant as this removed a certain tension from the trip.
The naturalists were excellent, full of information and willing to answer any questions--dumb or otherwise--we asked. The entire trip was a wonderful experience. They could spot things I never would have seen. I wish we had stayed on it for a full week instead of the short four days.
